G-Spot

Another bluebird day up Lolo Pass. About 35 degrees at the truck at the end of the day (15:00). We skinned the road until the first switchback, but it was rough going up from there. The skin track is slick and icy. Dug a pit at 5814' on east aspect, slope angle 28, 60cm depth. Attempted to get reaction at base after ECTP18 @ 40cm. Was unsuccessful however slab moves easily when levered by shovel. The snowpack could get a little dicey if heavy weighted snow falls on these sugary and sun crusted layers. Proceed with caution.
