Quick report
Was able to drive to the Carlton Lake TH with no problems. ~3cm of snow on the ground a quarter mile from the parking area. Enough snow on the ground to start skinning about a half a mile from the start of the trail. Weather was partly cloudy with a light west wind. Temp was 26 F at the TH at 7am. Total snow depth: 62cm Pit results: ECTN25 failing on small faceted layer at 27cm Overall the snowpack seems well bonded and I saw no signs of instability throughout my day of travel.
