First time this season with no crackling or whumpfs. Evidence of wind drifted snow from the last 24 hours, but not sufficient to form slabs at the areas we toured and skied. No cracks, no whumpfs, no avalanche releases observed.

Tranquil with light winds from south, sunny, occasional few high clouds, and cold in the morning.

Snowpack

Poor structure snowpack with 3-4 mm rounded basal facets - 10 cm thick basal layer buried under 55-60 cm of 4F(surface) to Pencil hard slab. Reactivity of basal PWL layer: multiple CT12-SC, PST50/110(End). At Northerly aspects good skiing at 10-20 cm surface layer of advanced 2 mm NSF.
