Quick report
Skinned up to the base of the Thumb Tack. Skied our skintrack back to Source Lake due to low vis on the north slope and the observed crowns. The snow surface was wind affected. There was a crust below 4"-6" of new snow up high. Lower down there was less of a crust and instead about 6" of wet snow buried under the new snow. I attached a couple of pictures of the crown we saw. After that we skinned up to Scott's Bowl and bailed on Pineapple Pass due to high winds and blowing snow blasting us in the face.
Avalanche
Noted a couple crown lines on the SE aspect of Chair Peak and the east ridge coming off Chair Peak.
