Quick report
Went up to 8200ft on the glacier. Below 6500 there was a thin crust, probably sun, that skied as bad trap crust. Above that was a soft snow surface with about 12" of mostly right-side-up heavy fresh snow on a crust that did not easily penetrate with ski pole. There were no signs of reactiveness, minimal evidence of a serious wind slab formation, and no signs of recent avalanche activity anywhere on the mountain beyond some sluffs off ridge lines that would be expected in the warm weather the day before. Left in no viz cloud cover with snow falling by 11am.
