I conducted 6 isolated column tests in 4 locations between 5600' and 6200' on E, NE, and N aspects. New snow ranged from 5 to 30cm over the dense older snow/crust and ranged from fist to finger hardness. All columns failed, one on isolation, and then up to second elbow tap. 4 of the 6 were sudden planar failures on the new snow/old snow interface, one SP on a storm discontinuity, and one sudden, but not planar failure 15cm below the old crust surface on degraded buried surface hoar. The new snow to old snow bond was improved from two days ago, but still poor. Sidehill travel was generally easy. No avalanche activity was observed where I travelled (no remote triggers from Mission avalanche control work). I jumped on convexities in three locations but could not move any snow.
