While climbing up Prospect Hill, we left the well defined trail and made our way up to the summit via the SW ridge. The path was very unconsolidated, my ski pole sinking about 20-30". On the way up we heard 6-7 whoomfing noises, but no cracking. The route is pretty tame for avalanche angles, so still within my comfort level.
