Low angle bumps on approach to Video Peak
Snowpack right side up with no significant shears, with the exception of ~15 cm of facets at the base of the snowpack (F+ or so). Facets are not very developed, and not visually apparent (only detected by feel).
ECTX
Numerous large, far propagating whumphs on nearby features, especially where rocky.
Lack of buried crusts in the alpine makes scraping rocks fairly likely. I had more confidence skiing near treeline. Snow is similarly consolidated below treeline, but with thinner coverage and more obstacles.
