Monashee Reminder

This avalanche happened on our second lap of the day pushing a little bit higher into more wind exposed terrain. Rider who triggered rode out after first turn without issue. Some things we noted about this avalanche were; -The avalanche caught us off guard but was not entirely surprising given the nature of the terrain and wind loading. The propagation down through the trees and then well into the slide path below was very surprising. -Our first lap had given no signs on instability on this layer, skiing over steep pillows and in a smaller but still open slope. -Our focus over the last few weeks on the Feb 3rd pwl, maybe had our guard down when assessing the storm slab. -Hand shears on the way up gave no signs of concern, it is possible these weren't done deep enough to test the layer that this avalanche slid on. The slide didn't step down to the Feb 3rd.
