SSV meadows - Quartz 1

<p>Toured W aspect off of Standish and Up to Quartz 1 and down E face. Of interest was absence of any rain crust whatsoever - Oct crust was spotty at best. Rode down to maybe 35deg - no issues since there wasn’t any slab although winds had been reported as being quite strong this past week. Knee deep in facets and new precip today - really good snow although you had to watch out for rocks. Quite stormy this am with decent accumulation and mod winds. Cleared by noon and sun came out - still cold though ! Last pic shows rime on rocks from recent winds. Quartz 2 really need a lot more snow before any attempt. HS about 50-60cm, ski pen 20-25cm, boot pen about 40cm.</p>
