First AST2 field day at washy. Heavy wet snow, rain to the summit of Washington. There was very limited visibility but we did not observe any natural avalanche activity. Did not see the winds reported elsewhere and we were unable to get a result in test pits dug on a north west aspects at 1400m. Rain has saturated the top ~30cm of snow pack down to the first crust.
There was the occasional snow flake but we were mainly rained on.
