Malakwa Ice Climbing

<p>Went to explore the Malakwa ice climbing after spotting it from the highway this afternoon. We escaped the polar vortex with temperatures of -10 when we left the car and -6 upon return. Sadly the recent cold hadn’t formed much ice and we deemed everything unsafe to climb. HS in the area is up to 10cm in shaded areas and 0 anywhere sunny. The good news is we were never concerned about avalanches, the bad part is it makes for treacherous forest walking. Winds were calm and there was no new precipitation overnight or through the day. Few clouds. </p>
