Simpson Pass

Ski tour up Healy Creek to Sunshine Village with a snow profile at 2300m at Simpson Pass. The snowpack is 80 cm and very weak. Several very large whumphs were noted in open glades at 2100m. Foot penetration is to the ground, so you cannot walk around. Felt the need to avoid skiing any steep terrain that could produce an avalanche.
