Quick Observation
Probed 180cm on a NE (mostly E) aspect on a 15deg slope, just shy of the summit. There was a thin crust (hard to see) around 145cm, a visually obvious melt-freeze crust at 140cm, and another visually obvious melt-freeze crust at 90cm. CTH5 down 35cm RP We jump/sat on the column (130lb ish person) after testing and got it to slide 90cm down. It looked like rounded crystals on top of the crust, but we thought this was likely facets? Didn't have a loupe. See pic. On the way down, we encountered a surprising bit of a crust in an openish area (SE facing) at treeline. Beautiful sunny day, some clouds came in during the afternoon.
