Quick report

Cracking
specific
Collapsing
specific

Four skiers toured into NW bowl of Mt Baldy. At first, conditions were bare from wind scouring with rocks and grass sticking through the surface. As crew gained elevation and approached main bowl, shooting cracks and collapsing were observed. As we reached decision/transition point, lead skier observed a shooting crack propagating approximately 40 feet along the rock band which triggered the slide in the main bowl. Crown height: 40-60cm
