Quick report
Yesterday was all wind with steady in the 20's gusting at the station into the mid 50's (and the station is somewhat protected by trees) while mid to upper 60's in open area. Only light but wind blown dense snowfall during the day and into the night. Wind let up near midnight and then stopped at which time the snow picked up substantially so 24 hour totals are 10" new snow with water content 0.75". Snowpack is up to 43½"- the winter deepest though still well below average (55"). Currently obscured cloud cover and calm (yes, calm- i just wanted to say it a few times) with light snowfall with the overnight high 19F and low and current 18F. So, finally it is looking like winter. billy
