We observed strong blowing snow and multiple signs of wind slab on the lower Green Butte ridge. There was rapid sastrugi formation and widespread cracking on the leeward edge of the ridge. I kicked on a small wind loaded test slope and triggered a small slide that propagated about 50' wide and ran about 15' downslope.
