Quick report
We got to the base of the ravine around 11:30am under mostly sunny skies and light and variable winds, around 11:50pm the clouds started to come in and it became mostly cloudy but winds remained light and variable. The snow at floor of the ravine was very supportable and wind effected, there was a good amount of wind texture throughout the ravine as well. Our group went up towards Lobster Claw and found supportable snow there as well with some areas of softer snow near vegetation but no reactivity was observed with boot penetration. Going up into the gully the group found mostly wind board that was uniform throughout up to the fork where we transitioned with some of the softer pockets as mentioned above. Most aspects, in the ravine and Dutchess and Hillman’s, were skied today by either one or multiple parties and there were no reports of any reactivity reported to me at the cabin/on the porch.
