- <p>At 9500-10000 ft on E aspects we were getting consistent collapsing, especially in areas of pronounced drifts. The collapses were deep, wide radius, and on facets. A few snowpack test results on same aspect/elev: CTM, Q2 (resistant planar) 30cm down at new/old interface. ECTP: E to M, 45cm down below a thicker (2-10cm) crust, about 10cm below a thin (1mm) but noticeable rime crust. Seemed to be some faceted rimed/graupel grains right at this interface, and medium sized facets below.</p>
Overall quite a complex snowpack; its thin, slabs and persistent weak layers abound. Lets do our fieldwork and try our best to cut down the high degree of uncertainty out there.

- <p>Not quite enough load to set things off naturally. Trend may actually be increasing slightly still, as the new snow settles into a slab. </p> <p>The fresh wind slabs may take a bit to bond with the cold temps and low density snow below.</p>
