Overall the Avalanche danger seems to be improving some. I am certainly leerly of the persistent slabs both from the Dec 16th rain/ hail event and the weak Basil Facets near the ground.

- <p>Compression Test clearly identifies the storm slab problem CT4 Q1 SC ( See Pit Profile) </p> <p>Compression Test also identified a persistent slab from the December 16th Rain and Hail event. Hail stones were still present in the 54 to 44 cm layer. CT21 Q1 SC. Perhaps the more concerning Persistent Slab issue was the results from this mornings Elongated Column Test. ECTPV Q1 SC (The column collapsed when I was isolating it. The basil facets near the ground appear to be unsupportable and quickly collapsed once isolated. </p>
