Storm Slab avalanche depicted in the picture was triggered by a Dry Loose that initiated in the steep cliff bands from above, and when the DL cascaded over the last cliff band it impacted the slope and caused the Slab to release. Cliffs are on rider''s right of the main line of the Corner Pocket. It likely occured during the High PI on the morning of 20250104. It appeared from the size of the avalanche and the remaining bed surface that it was a Storm Slab; and with the noted density inversion that was observed yesterday in most locations this would be a likely explaination. Observations from yesterday had an very easy shear/break 15 to 25cm down. This weakness appeared to be as a result of the 2 hour period of extremely high PI in the morning hours with this density change resting on the light density stellars that fell in the initial part of the storm.
