Avalanche is a repeat runner and one of many that ran during a natural cycle on Friday, Feb 2. A storm system in two waves deposited 5" on the night of Feb 1, followed by an additional 6" on Feb 2, with a combined SWE of 1.4". This particular avalanche was unsurprising from this load due the nature of the terrain and frequent runner status. What was surprising was the fairly widespread cycle that also occurred.
