NE Macdonald

Went searching for the only soft snow in the county and we found a good few turns! Significant crusts were noted on aspects and elevations save a few locations that were not only north facing, but had significant shelter from trees as well. Snow Pit did not show any significant findings. Nothing notable on tests and pack seemed fairly consolidated with a notable temperature gradient in the new snow and a few Ice crusts throughout the snow pack. Rain was on and off through the day with about 2 hours of heavy rain and strong winds making this one cold and wet outing. Glad to see nothing concerning in the snowpack, but today's weather does not bode well for good skiing conditions anytime soon.
