Deep upside down storm slabs were observed that were showing progress towards bonding at the new/old interface.  Ski penetrations ranged from an average of 60 cms to 100 cms in places, Boot pen was 100 cms.  Instabilities remained apparent within the storm snow, with moderate to strong SW wind creating deeper more sensitive areas.  The depth of new snow along with its structure pointed towards a continuation of elevated avalanche hazard.

Shooting cracks less than 2' in length were observed throughout tour.

~100 cms (40 inches) of settled storm snow was found in the lower elevations of Girls mountain.  Storm snow was upside down due to wind and an increase in temperature on the night of the 28th-29th.  Very thin rain crust was present within 2" of the surface that was not strong enough to prevent wind redistribution.  New snow was deposited upon knife hard wind slabs.   At 2400' pit results produced ECTN8 down 30 cms and ECTN21 down 65 cms (both within storm snow).  PST END (60/100) down 95 cms (new/old).
