Quick report

Took a tour up Benzene and ended a 200ft under Matt's Slope. I dug a pit at 770ft on a 18° NE facing slope. Results of the ECT was ECTX. I had trouble completely isolating the column on a 5cm thick P hard crust; maybe also due to buried alders. There was 25-30cm of new snow sitting on top of a 10cm 1F hard crust which all sat on the 5cm thick P hard crust. Below the hard crust was 25cm of 4F hard snow. There was close to 70cm of snow at the pit location. There were little to no visible signs of avalanches near Benzene or the surrounding areas across the bay.
