Widespread shallow (~1+') wind slabs on leeward (SW) face of Sunburst. Isolated shooting cracks associated with a few of the firmer slabs. At least two glide cracks still exist along the Taylor Pass skin track (on lookers left [SW] as you get nearer to the pass. Cracks are becoming more difficult to see as they get covered with new and wind-transported snow. Multiple 5–10-meter shallow (~10 cm) cracks propagated in front of ski tips on isolated medium-soft wind slabs on SW face of Sunburst.

CC turned progressively more overcast throughout the day with flat light and a thin band of mid-elevation fog forming in the afternoon. Calm winds throughout the day. Warm temperatures made for nice touring.
Snowpack
~2" of light density new snow, poorly bonded, on top of very firm wind-affected old-snow. Old snow was primarily supportable, with pockets of breakable, throughout our tour. Wind-transported new snow was apparent above tree/brush line, with wind-snow deposits of ~1-2 feet common along the Taylor Pass common skin track. Wind slabs were mostly soft to medium in firmness with pockets of hard wind-deposited snow.
