Quick report
Went to brownie creek to observe conditions in the current storm around 1200. New snow was falling at 4 cm per hour and increased as we were there, wind was light from the SW with gusts up to 5 mph, temperature was initially 28⁰ and decreased while we were there. Pit dug at 7700 ft below tree line on east aspect showed 66 cm of new noncohesive storm snow that broke consistently at depths of 40 and 60 cm during testing. No cohesive slabs were observed.
