- <p>The rocky terrain of the area has held on to the sugary facets from October and has unfortunately failed to heal. </p> <p> </p> <p><em> Forecaster's Note: I think the weak sugary snow on mid elevation slopes is actually from December. The cold weather around Christmas really put a gradient across the shallow snowpack...</em></p> <p>The ambient temp was upwards to 43 degrees today, making the snow globby. Few slopes in this area would slide, but warm snow, turning heavy, on sugary facets is not a good set up. </p>
