My snowpit location was in a sheltered area and did not have the crust layer in the upper snowpack.
I toured up Beaver's Envy to observe the PWL and ride powder. I was able to find the PWL, but not the powder I was looking for. In my Compression Test, I had a Q2 fracture on the PWL and I got propagation on the same layer in my Extended Column Test at 24 taps. The coverage on Beaver's Envy is much better after the recent storms, and it's great to see the range more filled in.
Snowpack
I found a breakable crust on Beaver's Envy from 7300ft up to 8800ft, on South and West facing terrain. Crust-free snow was difficult to find and was only in the most sun-sheltered areas.
