We dug a study pit on the West approach ridge of Patsy Marley mostly for a teaching exercise with some clients. Elevation 9,495', North aspect on a 34 degree slope. The HS was 325cm

Our observations showed a mostly right side up pack The big standout was the 2-4.5mm PPgp at 205cm to 190cm. CT results weren't showing much so we We conducted a Rutschblock Test to see if we could get some results within the graupel layer. (See Snowpilot). The graupel was quite deep and varying in size. If this the upper pack gets more cohesive and adds weight, this PWL may be an issue worth discussing and keeping in mind. For now the dragon sleeps.
