Quick report
Heavy snow but wasn't sticking to my skins or skis. Seemed well-bonded to the layer below. Nothing worrisome on several stomp tests and hand pits on the way up. Didn't see any signs of reactivity or wet/loose activity today--it was overcast the whole time I was out (late afternoon). The old layer was definitely firm but I never felt a firm crust. The skiing was slower but fun on the way down.
