Quick report
Went out for fun on a day off today. The only signs of any activity we noticed were a lot of chunks of cornices and rollerballs on the south face of Tenderfoot. We didn't dig any full pits but we got a lot of info from quick travel tests. The snowpack was about 2 feet deep on average, and moist to wet all the way to the ground. There was a thin crust just below yesterday's snow that was breakable up to around 2000'. The south facing terrain off Tenderfoot Ridge was obviously wind loaded so we avoided the steeper section and skied a low angle ramp down towards the creek. We were pleasantly surprised by the ski quality up high. Travel is challenging down low, but it's worth it if you ask this optimist.

Mostly cloudy with some light filtering through during late morning and early afternoon. Light northeasterly winds along the ridge. Increasing cloud cover and light snow in the afternoon. Steady rain from Girdwood to mile 52, just barely trying to turn to snow at the top of Turnagain Pass.
Snowpack
We didn't dig any full pits, but did do plenty of pole probes and hand pits as we traveled. The snow was moist to wet to the ground, with moist rounding facets at the bottom of the snowpack. There was a thin crust on the surface that was breakable up to around 2000' or so. Roughly 2" new snow above 2000' actually made for decent skiing. Conditions are challenging below that.
Avalanche
There are multiple debris piles from earlier in the week, but nothing looked fresh within the past 24 hours.
