Sunny and very warm! The overnight low temperature at the Tyler Heilman weather station was 39 F. There was a Light breeze on the summit from the south, but the wind was calm throughout most of the terrain.
Snowpack
There is still plenty of snow to ride on around Paulina Peak. Bare patches are starting to appear around the gaurd station/welcome center at 6360 ft. although our snow height sensor is still measuring 75 cm. (pretty shady there). Looking across the lake to the south facing slopes on the North Rim it looks very bare.
Despite warm overnight temperatures, the snow surface had set up nicely. At 11:00 we found softer melting snow on all aspects except shady north slopes.
I didn't see any signs of recent instabilities or debris, although we didn't observe any steep south slopes where Wet Loose avalanches would have been most likely.
