Quick report

Skinned up to the Tam Rim area around 0900 on 01/7/24. Partly sunny with temps in the mid 20s. Dug a pit at 6,852' on the north facing aspect. The slope was approx. 30 degrees and had about 30cm of fresh snow from the afternoon/night before. Pit test revealed a CT1Q3 @ approx. 30cm, as well as a CT3Q2 @ approx. 60cm. ECT revealed similar results without any propagation. Skied down the bowl above the playground and then picked our way through the trees while avoiding the steeper slopes. Some sloughing noted on our way down. Coverage was pretty poor but the new snow was deep and light.
