Dug a profile targeting the slab characteristics over the weak/basal facets and checking for the presence of surface hoar near the surface. Small column test CTH sudden collapse down 80 cm in the basal facets. ECTX but we ran out of time before doing a PST on the failure layer. HS 92cm Surface: lightly wind affected recent snow (decomposing fragments) Upper: 10-20 cm faceted snow with a buried SH (6mm) layer down 10-15 cm in this sheltered location Middle: small facets forming a 40-60 cm slab, hardness increasing with depth (4F to P) Lower: 15-20 cm size 4-6mm DH, 4F hardness.
