No recent avalanches observed. Saw one old crown, SS-N-D2-R2-I on the north face of Summit Mtn at about 8100'. Likely ran during the March 15-16 storm. Crown was about 100' wide and 10-15" thick with debris running about 500' vertical feet down into the basin below. Steady, strong SW winds all day, but only moderate wind loading as snowpack surfaces on sunny aspects were a bit crusted which limited transport. What wind slabs we did cut were unreactive. No shooting cracks. No wet loose problem despite the sunshine due to colder temps, and the wind. But we never dropped below 5000'.

Mostly sunny, strong SW winds with extreme gusts at times. No precipitation. Estimate temps reached the mid-20s at elevations above 7000.
