Quick report
We noticed considerable melt had occurred at the trailhead and this was no different as we made our way to the turnoff for Elk. It would appear that the warm temperatures and rain in the last week reduced the snowpack to very little on all aspects up to 7000' in this area. We noted many exposed rocks and trees on the majority of aspects of Elk and Sub-shields that typically are far beneath the surface by this time of year. Anyhow great day for a walk to Ole Creek. None observed
