Quick report
- Red Flags
- Heavy Snowfall, Rapid Warming
I snowshoed to just above Dog Lake Monday PM. The snow was dense or wet particularly before the trail split to Desolation. The snow became much less dense from there on up to above Dog Lake.
Backcountry skiers had hit Reynolds pretty good choosing what appeared to be conservative routes. Tom's Hill was also skied pretty solidly as well.
I took the summer route until the open area (see pic) before you descend to where the summer water nears the trail. This seemed sketch and was completely blown in. I dropped down and continued up from the trail most skiers skin up to hit the Reynolds area terrain.
