Quick report

Red Flags
Poor Snowpack Structure

Got 6 data points at 9900' on East and SE exposures (SA ~ 15 deg). The unconsolidated facets at the top of NFL is not every reactive to ECT. Five of 6 ECTs were ECTX and one was ECTP 24 (Worth noting that every ECTX was made to propagate full column in one additional hard loading step). PSTs on the other hand ranged from 24/100 end to 48/100 end (averaging about 35/100 end in 6 tests). Photo shows grains in the failure plane 1 to 2mm + well developed facet showing early rounding. Harness on the layer was 4F- to F+ on the R scale. I don't see this PWL healing quickly but we all need to keep tracking it.

Overall I think the UAC forecast in still spot on an Moderate. Moderate means human trigger avalanches possible, which seems about right. I think some people have come to believe Moderate is game on, this is a situation where it isnt. Travel smart.
