Quick report
45cm of snow (18") at 7900'
The heat has had a big impact on the snow at these lower elevations (this area doesn't have terrain much about 8200').
What would normally be a faceted, loose, and unsupportable snowpack is warm and dense. There's evidence of old facets, but they're warm and damp and you can make a snowball with them.
I think the snowpack at 9000 is totally different, but no one is going that high on snowmobiles near Island Park or West Yellowstone yet.
