Climbed Bourgeau Left today. Generally good conditions on the climb - some snice in sections especially on the crux last pitch made for a particularly challenging lead. Wind slabs were well formed both above and below the route, but didn't appear inclined to propagate just yet. Still worth keeping an eye on. On the drive home, noted several point release slides on N aspects of Mt Rundle, with one notable track visible above the climb Sacre Bleu. Unsure how recent these are.
Very clear day out! Sunny but the temperature didn't rise above -7 for the whole day, after starting from the car at -10. Sun was visibly heating surface snow, causing some pinwheeling. Calm most of the day, with light winds in the PM.
Snowpack above and below the route appeared to be forming a well-consolidated slab with multiple layers around 1F hardness. The slabs are isolated, with shallow ridges between; snow depth varied from 10-50cm. Below the slab, facets were present to ground with a decomposing crust (perhaps the Nov 5?).
