Burstall Pass

HS 110cm at 2300m in open trees just below the pass (E). 15 to 20cm of low density snow sits on top of the Nov 5 rain crust (5cm thick at TL). Fresh powder on top of the supportive Nov 5 Rain Crust made for surprisingly good skiing conditions. We skied the open glades lookers left of the summer trail junction. Evidence of wind transport but didn’t find any wind slabs. Ski out was a little sporty but the crust helped with travel. A nice and mellow early season day out!
