Quick Observation

Ashman on Sunday and Wednesday. Treeline snow depths around 160cm (sheltered south aspect) with significant loading on northerly (leeward) aspects. Stayed on southern aspects to give nothernly aspects time to bond and heal. Right side up snowpack - soft on top with the density increasing slowly towards the bottom. Storm snow is slowly bonding to previous interface. No obvious weak layers noticed. Noticed one natural size two on steep NE aspect (assumed cornice fall), widespread cornice development that is slowly tightening up, and otherwise no signs or evidence of instability. Really nice riding!
