Avalanche: Little Superior

First skier skied down and triggered a slide. Rode it 500'-600'. His buddy skied down and they both traversed to Little Superior and triggered another avalanche which occurred very near a slide from 1/6/1998. The skiers were able to self-arrest before the slide exited the cliff band. While this second slide was occurring the second skier triggered a third slide.

Later that day on Superior (1:30PM)

An avalanche started high in the narrow chute at the top. Most likely natural from wind-drifting occurring. Strong winds blowing from the north combined with 1" an hour snowfall rates starting around noon. This slide was 4' deep and ran 2500' vertical almost hitting the highway
