Quick report

Out for a short trip up the highway to look at current snow conditions and see how the spring run-off is going. The Bear River here in Evanston has really increased in volume the last several days with no real good over night re-freeze. The snow pack has been holding up fairly well, lower elevation snow is becoming unsupportable and is quickly melting off. The upper elevations have been going through some wet cycles, but nothing widespread and there is still good smooth supportable spring like snow conditions. The High Uintas are holding onto a decent snow pack right now and there should be nice spring adventures through the month.

The highway gate has been open recently and is clear for about 7 miles on the Bear River side of the range.
