Quick Observation

Did a couple of quick laps. No signs of any recent avalanche activity. Could feel a strong slab approximately 50cm down with our poles on the way up. Surface hoar appr 10mm looked to be forming in areas. Dug a pit CT non reactive. Though there is still definitely a nice amount of basal facets that a heavy slab is sitting on. See snow report for details. Skiing was quite lovely, supportive shin deep powder. When lower down on the ski out, the snow turned to a surprising sugary mess. Fell over in it and had my partner laughing. Was cold (-15) yet nicely sunny. No wind, minimal cloud cover. Great day.
