Monarch Rampart

A warm day going up to the Ramparts. We avoided all avi slopes to reach the ridge, which was wind scoured. LOTS of whumpfing, but always on flat spots, never on a slope. No shooting cracks, so the weak layer was reactive and settling but not really seeing propagation. Good snow on the descent on mellow slopes. Need to go back in better conditions.
