Observations from the northwest and northeast side of Burwell Mountain. Several very large and deep slab avalanches released during the heavy rains on the Easter weekend. Most likely from April 7 or 9. This area received over 400 mm of rain with two warm storms. The slabs likely released on deep weak layers near the base of the snowpack - crowns appeared to be 2-4 m deep.
