Pulpit 5

Better than expected conditions but absolute slog to get up to the lake. From base of pulpit 5 on up, it was boot top to knees deep punching through facets. About 105cm at the lake and 130cm up on the ridge. Performed 2 compression test in north facing open trees, 30cm of soft slab and unconsolidated powder, then facet layer, then hard consolidated snow below. Failure on facet layer on CTH24 and failure 10cm down of soft slab CTM18. Neither slid easily and neither sudden. River still open, crossing possible in spots.
