2000’ ridge - AST2

Skin up to 1650m along the ridge, didn’t see any big signs of instability other then a tiny settlement. Heavier snow then forecasted. Skied down the ridge for some great turns then hugged the alders a little to tight before returning to the resort. Snow tests: 226cm depth. 1550m, N aspect, 32 degree. tree line. CTM15(20sp) ECTN We didn’t see any reactivity on the Nov/Dec facet layer. We noticed a very tough, thick (7cm) crust 60cm down (Boxing Day rain) but didn’t have reactivity yet.
